I saw an article yesterday about Carl Weathers California probate. It made it sound as if Mr. Weathers died with under one million in assets. Though the article didn’t specifically say that I got that feeling – as if he was a spendthrift or something who spent too much. With a couple simple internet searches I found a house in Venice, CA in the name of the “Carl Weathers Trust.” You can do public searches to find this and you will find the Los Angeles county house to be worth about $2.5m according to Zillow. So, yes Mr. Weathers died, and yes his estate is (partially) going through probate court, but it appears that’s only part of the story! Here is that article if you care to peruse it. If you are looking at house values, including rents, I think it’s a great place to start your due diligence!
