I will get a living trust as part of my new years resolution!

I have blogged about this many new years in the past and, here I am again, reminding you. Yes, I have my living trust in place but DO YOU? To me it seems very normal for people to say “I will get a living trust as part of my new years resolution!” The problem, like with many new year’s resolutions, is they don’t do it. Or maybe they meet with the estate planning attorney but don’t finish it. If you are thinking about getting your living trust done, and you live in California, let’s TALK! I’d like to get you on the calendar ASAP to explain the pros, cons, costs, and benefits!

In short a properly funded California living trust will help your family avoid the high cost of probate after your death. More importantly, in many cases, is avoiding the high costs and burdens of a conservatorship if they should need to take over your affairs while you are still alive but become incompetent to handle your affairs.

There are many more benefits and really, other than the up front cost, there are no negatives to getting a trust prepared by a highly experienced California estate planning lawyer.  Text, call or email and let’s get this going ASAP!

Happy new year 2024!
