Nevada Ancillary Probate tied to a California Probate

I am just going to admit it right here… I really like Las Vegas, Nevada. Ok, that has little to do with the California probate process as I like the action, nightlife, entertainment and sports. As they say Las Vegas is the sports AND entertainment capital of the world! It really is! Vegas has the Stanley Cup Champion Vegas Golden Knights, the Raiders of the NFL with their long and storied history, the TWO-time reigning WNBA champs the Aces, will soon have the Athletics in baseball and most likely an NBA team around the same time. Plus, a ten year contract to have the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix on the streets of Las Vegas and, oh ya, the 2024 Super Bowl! Not to mention residencies by major musical artists such as U2, Bruno Mars, Carrie Underwood, Garth Brooks, Usher, Adele, Miranda Lambert, Luke Bryan, Kelly Clarkson, Wu Tang Clan, New Addition, Kylie Minogue, Lionel Richie, Shania Twain and the list literally goes on and on and on! PLUS, amazing shows like Cirque, Absinthe, David Copperfield, etc, etc, etc….  Ok, that’s all fine and good but this post is about Nevada and California connecting on a probate. How and why?

Countless performers, including many of the above, along with an endless list of athletes and just flat out RICH PEOPLE have a home in Nevada. Often in Las Vegas, in the case of athletes and performers. However, many business owners and others have homes up in Incline Village and others areas around Lake Tahoe. For many of these people they live there enough time to avoid the California Franchise Tax Board (legally) and for others Nevada is just a second home. However, in all cases if they don’t have their Nevada real estate in a trust they are likely going to need the services of a probate attorney. We are CALIFORNIA probate attorneys so we handle the California portion and we work closely with Nevada probate attorneys to handle the Nevada piece.

Whether the loved one you lost is a famous musician, retired athlete or just a guy that liked having a house in Lake Tahoe let’s talk if you lost them and need the services of a California probate attorney.
