California Probate Form DE-150 Letters

California Probate Form DE-150 Letters is the single most important document in most California probate cases. It is THE document that allows the Personal Representative to stand in the decedent’s shoes and take all actions necessary to conduct the probate. This is the document needed to access bank accounts, sell stock, sell real estate and basically anything else in a California probate case. Typically your probate lawyer will get a few of them certified for you at the probate Court. Letters can not issue until the Judge signs the Court order and, if needed, your original surety bond is filed. The issuance of Letters, by the Court, starts the 4 month probate period. Any questions about Letters or the other California probate forms let us know. -John
